Who We Are
We are a group of people from Manheim committed to following the teachings of Jesus in community with one another and with our neighbors. We do this by regularly meeting together, discussing life, singing together, and studying God's word together, praying together and encouraging intentional engagement with our neighbors in Manheim. You don't even have to be a Christian to take part in our gathering or have any prior knowledge of what it means to follow Jesus, but since we deeply value local community, you should probably be from Manheim!
What We Believe
We believe that we are called to be and live like Jesus in our community, and that He cares about our local community of Manheim. We rely fully on the Holy Spirit to guide us in our life and mission to our community. We believe that being part of a church means being active with each other in our local community.
What To Expect At Our Wednesday Gathering
We sit in a circle together. After a brief moment of catching up, we usually have a time of simple worship in song, followed by a discussion on our weekly Scripture passage. We often ask ourselves questions like, "What does this passage teach us about God?", "What does this passage teach me about myself?" and "What is God calling me to do about it?" Finally we end our time together sharing our needs and praying for one another. We try to finish up around 8 PM Childcare is provided for the duration of the evening.

We are right in the heart of Manheim at 201 West High Street. We meet in the basement of the Hope Served organization.

Our Pastor Joel Harnly
Although we deeply value hearing from each person in our gathering, we still have a leader and a pastor who gives oversight to our gatherings. Joel and his wife Corinna and 4 kids are natives of the Manheim community, deeply in love with Jesus, and deeply committed to serving the local community.
Our Affiliations
We believe in the importance of churches being involved in the larger and global body of Christ. Community Church Of Manheim honored to be part of LMC, a Fellowship of Anabaptist Churches. LMC represents a diverse group of churches from across the country and around the world committed to following Jesus from an Anabaptist understanding of Scripture.
